The Sherlocks share new video for single 'Was It Really Worth It?' - WATCH

The Sherlocks have released their new video for single ‘Was It Really Worth It?’ due for release March 17th. The video is directed by Aella Jordan-Edge and stars Kiersten Wareing (Fishtank, Eastenders, The Take) and newcomer Connor McCarron (Neds) following the dysfunctional couple’s relationship deterioration.

Explains frontman Kiaran Crook of the video; “We’re so excited to share our new music video with you all. It features a typical relationship from the outset, however there’s a quirky edge to it and a few twists. We think it’s incredible! These lyrics from the track sum up the whole video & new single – “When you’re fighting a battle that can’t be won”…”

Says director Aella Jordan-Edge; “This video is about the lengths you’ll go to impress someone. The video opens at ‘The beginning of the end’ of a relationship, already fraught with tension because of a large age gap between the two lovers. We empathize with McCarron’s character as he becomes increasingly desperate to stay with his older girlfriend, played by Wareing. At the video climax McCarron breaks out into dance and performs a human peacocking ritual, ending with an ejaculation of a confetti gun. Wareing remains suitably unimpressed which leaves McCarron to ponder “Was it really worth it?’ like the title track.”

After a sold out UK Tour last September, Sheffield four-piece The Sherlocks are currently on their biggest ever headline UK tour and have had to add even more dates to their journey due to high demand (Leeds, London & Glasgow). The band, consisting of two sets of brothers, have been steadily building a solid live following and were the first unsigned band since Arctic Monkeys to sell out their local venue the Sheffield Leadmill. With great support from the likes of Steve Lamacq, Annie Mac, Mistajam & Huw Stephens, this is a young band following in the great tradition of guitar groups from their area. The Sherlocks have drawn obvious comparisons from their influencers (The Jam, The Clash, Arctic Monkeys) but this is a band with unquenchable ambition intending to create their own unique sound and already captivating new audiences.

Having secured a much coveted support slot on the Libertine’s Arena Tour in 2016, as well as festival slots at Reading, Leeds and Bestival amongst others, the band are currently receiving rave reviews & selling out multiple venues on their headline tour (including venues such as Sheffield’s Foundry & Manchester’s Albert Hall).

The Sherlocks are Kiaran Crook (Lead vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Josh Davidson (Vocals/lead Guitar), Andy Davidson (Backing Vocals/Bass Guitar) and Brandon Crook (drums).
