The Lumineers Reveal Music Video For ‘Angela’

The Lumineers Reveal Music Video For 'Angela'

Today sees platinum-selling Denver outfit, The Lumineers, unveil the captivating music video for new single ‘Angela’, taken from their official No.1 sophomore album ‘Cleopatra’. Watch it BELOW.

Directed by Isaac Ravishankara (Ellie Goulding, Hosier, Phantogram), the video for ‘Angela’ is the second in a series of videos depicting the stories & interlinking narratives behind the album’s characters, presented in reverse-chronological order. ‘Angela’ follows the video for ‘Cleopatra’ which was revealed in July and has already racked up nearly 3 million views.

We pick up this story with Angela, heavily pregnant and at a major crossroads in her life. Interspersed with rich cutaways of the band playing to a room full of people at a party (including a much younger Angela), we see the video’s namesake attempting to decide on her future. She travels to a motel deep in thought and as the video comes to a close we spot Cleo through the window as it starts to become clear how the characters’ chronicles are all interwoven…

The global success of the band’s sophomore album, ‘Cleopatra’ saw them hit the top of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic continuing the success story of their Grammy nominated, platinum-selling self-titled debut ‘The Lumineers’ back in 2012. Currently in the middle of their sold out world tour in support of the album, the band will back in the UK to showcase their undeniable live skills at the end of October.
