THE KOOKS reveal video for new single 'Broken Vow' - WATCH

Today, The Kooks reveal the video for their new single ‘Broken Vow’, taken from their ‘Best Of… So Far’ compilation, released earlier this year on Virgin EMI Records.

The second of two brand new tracks released by the seminal indie rockers this year, ‘Broken Vow’ is a trippy, slow-burning anthem, mounting with a characteristically colossal chorus and accented by poignant, gospel-style backing vocals. The new video sees the band deliver a rousing performance of the track inside an icy cavern, illuminated by mesmeric flashes of colour and psychedelic visual effects. Contrasting the lighthearted, sun-soaked aesthetic of their last offering ‘Be Who You Are’, ‘Broken Vow’ exhibits a darker, more hypnotic side of The Kooks; a testament to the versatility of their talents.

The new single precedes an extensive world tour for The Kooks, concluding with six UK arena dates in November and December. Since the quartet burst onto the scene in 2006 with their unstoppable debut ‘Inside In/Inside Out’, which went 5x platinum at the end of last year, the Brighton four-piece have gone from strength to strength. Now, with three more studio albums, a number of massive world tours, awards and critical acclaim under their belts, it was clear that the indie rockers’ ten-year anniversary is a significant occasion to celebrate their momentous career so far with a tour and album release of all of their greatest hits.
