The Killers have announced a HUGE Belfast show at Boucher Road Playing Fields on Friday, 1st September 2023, with special guest Johnny Marr. The Las Vegas band returns to the city for the first time since 2019 for this very special show.

The Killers formed in 2003 and have gone on to become one of the biggest bands in the world. The group have received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more, and have so far sold over 25 million albums, clocking up a record-breaking seven consecutive UK Number 1 albums in the process, and headlining at all of the world’s biggest festivals (including Glastonbury, Coachella and Lollapalooza) as well as their own stadium tours.

The Killers’ first album, Hot Fuss, landed in 2004 to worldwide acclaim. The album contained the huge singles “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me,” as well as the anthemic “All These Things That I’ve Done”. The band toured for two years straight behind Hot Fuss, playing more than four hundred shows, and eventually returned to Las Vegas to begin to work on the follow-up album with legendary producers Alan Moulder and Flood. The result, a love letter of sorts to their hometown entitled Sam’s Town, was released in 2006 and spent forty-two weeks on the Billboard Top 200. A b-sides collection, Sawdust, was released in 2007, followed by their third studio album, Day & Age, which was released to widespread praise in 2008, anchored by the massive single “Human.”

The Killers released Battle Born in September 2012, expanding their world tour into countries they’ve never visited before, and finally were honoured to perform at the world-renowned Wembley Stadium, one of the most monumental and significant shows of their career. After a decade of making music, in November 2013, The Killers released a “Best Of” collection, Direct Hits, which featured two incredible new songs alongside classics from the band’s revered catalogue. Wonderful Wonderful followed in September 2017 and gave the band their first No. 1 on the U.S Billboard Top 200 chart in the U.S., as well as topping the charts in the U.K., Mexico, and Australia. In 2020, The Killers released Imploding The Mirage; hailed by critics as one of the best records in the band’s already stellar catalogue. Imploding The Mirage was followed in quick succession by 2021’s Pressure Machine, a quieter, character-driven document of life in small-town America inspired by frontman Brandon Flowers’ upbringing in rural Utah, and the band’s record-breaking eighth consecutive UK Number 1 studio LP. In 2022, they embarked on their largest, sold-out tour to date, playing stadiums across the UK, before heading to the Americas and beyond.

The Killers’ catalogue speaks for itself, and with a new studio album in the works, fans at Belfast Vital 2023 will have a chance to see a band at the height of their powers.

Tickets for which will go on sale to the public as of Monday 12th December at 9 am local time from ticketmaster.ie and the Three customers’ 48hr pre-sale starts at 9 am on Saturday 10th December 2022.
