THE JAPANESE HOUSE shares video for new single ‘Dionne’ feat Justin Vernon of Bon Iver

The Japanese House shares her brand new EP, Chewing Cotton Wool, including the new single ‘Dionne’ featuring Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and its accompanying lyric video.

Chewing Cotton Wool is the first full body of work from The Japanese House (aka Amber Bain) since her critically acclaimed debut album Good At Falling, released in 2019 via Dirty Hit. The new EP is once again produced by Amber and BJ Burton (Bon Iver, Francis & The Lights, Low & Banks) and features previously released singles ‘Chewing Cotton Wool’ and ‘Something Has To Change’ alongside new single ‘Dionne’ (feat. Justin Vernon) and unreleased track ‘Sharing Beds’. Chewing Cotton Wool also followed four previous EPs, praised for their “experimental and impressive” (DIY) sound, adored by both critics and fans.

In late 2019, Amber headed back out on the road to perform the EP live – just in time before the world’s gigs would be forced to hit pause – which included a stellar night at London’s Electric Brixton – a perfected live set owing to a whirlwind breakthrough which included arena shows across the UK supporting labelmates The 1975, landing a spot on the prestigious BBC Sound Of 2017 Longlist, winning a Gay Times Honour for Excellence in Music award, a raft of sold-out headline shows including nights at London venues Koko, Scala and Electric Ballroom, a huge US tour and festival shows including Reading and Leeds and Latitude all under her belt.
