To accompany the release of The Duke Spirit’s new single, the BBC 6 Playlisted Wounded Wing, comes a video directed by renowned photographer and film maker Steve Gullick. Wounded Wing features guest vocalist Mark Lanegan and piano by Simon Raymonde and is taken from the band’s long awaited new album KIN, released 6th May through Ex Voto Records.
For KIN The Duke Spirit returned to the producer of their debut album, Simon Raymonde (Cocteau Twins and Bella Union label boss). The album was recorded over a two week period at Urchin Studios, East London and sees the band pushing in new exciting and beautiful directions. KIN includes contributions from Mark Lanegan, Sam Windett (Archie Bronson Outfit), Terry Edwards (PJ Harvey/Gallon Drunk) and Simon Raymonde.
To support the release the band will be performing in Leeds, Glasgow and Hull and making four in-store appearances. The full dates are:
