ROE to release second EP ‘Things We Don’t Talk About’ on Friday 21st August

Award-winning Derry songwriter and performer ROE (21-year-old Roisin Donald) is set to release her second EP ‘Things We Don’t Talk About’ on Friday 21st August.

The EP, so-called because of ROEs innate ability to pen songs about not oft-spoken topics and themes, contains her most streamed song to date ‘Room to Breathe’ (over 300k streams in just 2 months) and will be released both online and on limited edition 10” Vinyl (£15). The front cover illustration is by renowned Belfast based graphic designer Fiona McDonnell.

ROE is 21-year-old songwriter Roisin Donald from Derry, NI. She has a songwriting and performance CV that would be the envy of artist twice her age having performed across the world at various festivals (SXSW, Glastonbury, Primavera), had her music featured in both shows on TV and Netflix (TOWIE, Made in Chelsea, Terrace House), been the focus of a Red Bull Media Documentary (‘Rise Up’, directed by Sean Mullan) and supporting some of the biggest names in music, on some of the biggest stages (Snow Patrol – 2019 arena tour, Robbie Williams – Hyde Park, Kodaline).

To celebrate her newest release, ROE will be performing a very special online show from the iconic Guildhall venue in Derry, live-streaming a full set with a full production of lights, live drummer, sound and an HD multi-camera setup. Tickets for this Livestream are £10 with a £2/€2 split donation between Aware NI and Aware Ireland, two prominent and important mental health charities providing support groups and a support line for those suffering from mental health issues across the island of Ireland.

“The title ‘Things We Don’t Talk About’ comes from the taboo and rarely spoken of issues that these songs revolve around. This EP means a lot to me because it’s a picture of how I’ve grown in the past couple of years as an artist and a person, and a reminder of how I’m still finding myself.” ROE
