REEVAH releases her brand new single ‘daydreamer’ - Listen Now!

Derry based Indie-pop artist Reevah is delighted to announce her brand new single ‘daydreamer’, released today.

On the new track, Reevah said; This was one of the first tracks I ever wrote as Reevah. It holds a lot of depth and meaning, however, I felt like it was time for a fresh start. Reevah has evolved and grown over the past few years and I knew that this track could take on a new direction in line with how my music has changed and developed.

In October 2020 myself and the band spent time in The Beekeeper’s residence in Co Clare after restrictions had made it difficult for us to write and record together. The Beekeepers was the ideal setting and location to rediscover this song. We recorded this track solely ourselves. It was a very natural, flowing process and we really wanted to capture this in the recording.

The theme of this track is prevalent now more than ever – ‘Presently unaware, consumed out of control, my body’s right here but my minds on another road.’ The track highlights how we as humans can become detuned. How our minds can be so preoccupied by external sources, and that we can sometimes forget what is really important to us.”

Reevah’s latest single, ‘You Said, Tell Me’ was released on April 24th 2020 along with her highly anticipated E.P ‘A Different Light’. Both releases garnered substantial backing from key influencers at BBC Introducing, RTE Radio 1 , RTE 2FM, BBC Radio Ulster and more. ‘You Said, Tell Me’ also received significant support from Spotify tastemakers featuring in New Music Friday and several other Spotify editorial playlists.

In May 2020 it was announced that Reevah was longlisted for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition out of 1000’s of entries across the UK. Reevah’s striking vocal and unique presence as a performer also earned her a slot at Ireland Music Week 2020 which celebrates Ireland’s most exciting new talents.

Reevah’s music is supported by Help Musicians UK, Arts Council Northern Ireland and the PRS Women Make Music Fund marking her assuredly as not only an artist to watch but as an act in high demand.

Reevah’s music is immersive and reflective allowing the listener a chance to escape the speed of life. But it’s her voice, pure, understated and fearless, that stays in the heart and the mind long after the music is over.
