REDFACES Release New Single 'Way Down' - Listen Now

RedFaces release their new single ‘Way Down’ today. Recorded at Miloco’s The Pool in London and produced by Carey Willetts (Athlete), the single showcases a slightly softer sound for the band, with synths and subtle nods to their R&B influences. Lyrically ‘Way Down’ is about dealing with personal change, while initially struggling, but eventually coming to terms with, and wishing you’d done it sooner.

Chosen by NME as one of their essential picks for 2018, the year is shaping up to be the bands busiest yet, having already played storming sets at Tramlines, Sound City and Hit The North festivals amongst others. Next week they play Cornwall’s Boardmasters Festival, before the main support tour with Reverend & The Makers in October (all dates below).

Praise for RedFaces has been widespread. Previous single ‘Take It Or Leave It’ was chosen as BBC Radio 1’s ‘Introducing Track Of The Week’ and MTV marked them out as a ‘One To Watch’. Follow up single ‘Messed Up Feeling’ was added to Radio X’s ‘X-Posure’ playlist, with its accompanying video garnering heavy rotation on MTV Rocks.

RedFaces are Harry Lyon, Isaac White, Charlie Yapp and Ryan Laycock. Four lads from Sheffield treading what was once a well-worn path, these days the road less travelled. The journey started at 2Fly studios in Sheffield, recording demos with Alan Smyth. Taking their influences from the 50s and 60s right through to today, by way of The Beatles, Hendrix, The Smiths and The Strokes.
