ALBUM PREMIERE: Alfred Jackson Gets Honest On New Album ‘U.G.L.Y’ - Listen Now!

The last few years have left many of us thinking about what we want out of life, looking towards the future and reflecting on the impact we have and have had on the world. Such thoughts and reflections are the foundation for Alfred Jackson’s new album ‘U.G.L.Y’, which XS Noize are proud to premiere.

The 15-track album spans and blends multiple genres, including R&B, pop and hip-hop, with Jackson, lyrically opening up his heart and mind to fans both old and new as he sings about his dreams and ambitions and his struggles with respecting, appreciating and loving himself.

“I wanted to take the word ugly and give it a different meaning. That’s how U.G.L.Y was created, Ur Greatest Legacy’s You,” Jackson shares about the title of his new collection. “I think it’s important for every person to know that it’s up to you to decide what mark you leave on this world. It’s up to you to hold your power and not give it away. I also want to bring awareness to my black community about the importance of building your legacy and generational wealth.”

As for his goal when making the album and what he hopes those who hear it will take from it while and after they listen, he adds: “This album is to me, for me. It allows me to hold myself accountable, know my worth and be my true authentic self unapologetically. U.G.L.Y is an album I’m truly proud of. It’s an album that takes you on an adventure – on a roller coaster ride of love, life experiences, acceptance and realization. This album reminds you that it’s your life, you should own it and live it! We can’t live for anybody else. I hope my listeners walk away loving themselves more and knowing they are enough.”
