PAUL CARRACK To Broadcast ‘One Night Only’ Global Streaming Event

Paul Carrack will be taking his sold-out 2020 UK tour to the virtual stage for a ‘one night only’ global streaming event on Thursday, 15th October.

Following the cancellation of his live shows throughout 2020 due to the pandemic, Paul has partnered with top events streaming platform DICE to bring his incredible six-piece band and full touring production together for a very special two-hour performance from the iconic Victoria Hall in Leeds.

Using twelve cameras for the shoot, the concert will be available to stream via smart TVs and phones, laptops, PCs, tablets and games consoles at 8.30 pm in every time zone around the world for 24 hours, giving fans everywhere the chance to see Paul perform the all hits from his illustrious career such as ‘How Long’, ‘Over My Shoulder’, ‘The Living Years’ and ‘Tempted’, amongst many others.

Paul first started thinking about how he could give fans around the world the opportunity to see his 2020 live show after seeing Nick Cave’s streamed concert at Alexandra Palace in July. Paul said, “We had a whole year of touring lined-up, and we managed to play the majority of our UK tour dates before the lockdown. However, we had to cancel all the tour dates we had lined-up for the rest of the year across Europe, Australia and Japan. When I saw Nick Cave’s streamed concert at the Ally Pally I started exploring how we could deliver a full-production event but at a fraction of the cost of a normal gig ticket. I’m thrilled with how everything turned out and can’t wait for people to see it.”

Known as The Man With The Golden Voice, Paul admits performing in such a large venue without an audience felt strange at first. He said, “It did feel a bit weird, but after the first minute or so the sheer joy of being able to perform with my whole band under the lights took over. It felt like a joyous victory for the band and crew just to be able to do what we do: put on the best show we can for everyone to enjoy, albeit for one night only.”
