Open Call for Artists to Perform at CELTRONIC 2018

Ireland’s leading electronic music festival, Celtronic, has launched a search for emerging electronic live acts and producers to perform at this year’s festival. The festival celebrates its eighteenth anniversary this summer with five days and nights of music events, film screenings, workshops, seminars, recording projects and much more at venues across the city of Derry from Wednesday, June 27th – Sunday, July 1st.

For the last eighteen years, Celtronic has provided hundreds of performance opportunities for local and national producers, DJs and live acts to perform at the festival alongside the biggest international artists from across the electronic music spectrum. Among the artists that have performed at Celtronic in the early stages of their careers are two of Ireland’s leading electronic music stars, Phil Kieran and Ryan Vail.

Phil Kieran played one of his first ever live gigs at the first Celtronic in 2001 and says ‘I have played almost every Celtronic festival. I have DJed, played live myself or with my bands Alloy Mental and Le Carrousel. Celtronic remains THE world-class platform in Ireland for electronic artists to perform.’

It has been five years since Ryan Vail played his first ever live show at Celtronic and since then he has had a stratospheric rise in the music business. Ryan Vail said ‘Celtronic was my first gig and opened my mind to various genres within the electronic scene. The festival played a major part in my career as an artist and opened up label interest, booking agents and more bookings.’

To register your interest in performing at this year’s festival, all you have to do is send links to examples of your music (Soundcloud youtube, band camp) plus a short biography and live setup/technical specification to info@celtronicstudios.com. Entries close on Friday 4th May 2018.

Headliners at Celtronic 2018 include some of the biggest and most relevant artists in modern electronic music including Roman Flügel, DVS1, Avalon Emerson, DJ Seinfeld and Rival Consoles. Celtronic 2018 is supported by Derry City and Strabane District Council and PRS For Music Foundation.
