The fourth album from the Dublin natives originally known as ‘Lynched’. I was lucky enough to catch them on the tour of this album at Band on The Wall in Manchester in 2019, and I can quite honestly say it’s one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to.
The album opens up with ‘The Wild Rover’, an astonishing version of a beautiful song, the track builds and cascades into unknown dark territories much like the rest of the album does.
The musicianship throughout is second to none. If The Velvet Underground were a traditional Irish band, this is what they would’ve sounded like, and that can only ever be a good thing.
