ON THE TURNTABLE: Dead Sea Apes - Soy Dios

It’s amazing to think that Dead Sea Apes have been around for well over a decade now, and in that time, they’ve released some outstanding music, so if you’re not familiar with them, (why not?!) ’Soy Dios’ is the perfect starting point.

It’s a re-issue of their phenomenal debut EP, originally released in 2010. There’s quite literally no other band like these in Manchester (or anywhere else for that matter). They create behemoth instrumental soundscapes that encompass Psychedelia, Drone and Western Soundtracks that are at times really heavy and intense or really intricate and dreamlike.

A band to fully get lost in, and you’ll definitely find yourself doing just that with ‘Soy Dios’. Also, if you get the chance to see them live, do it; they’re awesome.
