NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS release brand new single ‘Blue Moon Rising’ - Listen Now

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have today released brand new single ‘Blue Moon Rising’, the title track from the forthcoming EP of the same name.

Noel says of the single: “How it manages to combine the influences of Metallica, The Jesters Of Malice, Mantovani, Robinson Crusoe as well as Bob Marley AND The Wailers is literally beyond me… oh, and it’s not about City by the way.”

An accompanying video for the dance-inspired track is also out today starring acclaimed actor Jack O’Connell and actress/model Gala Gordon. Shot at London’s Scala and directed by Dan Cadan and Scully, the narrative is a game of power play, charged with drama, ‘70s undertones and cinematic flare. Watch the video below. Dan and Scully also directed previous videos for this recent series of EP releases by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

The new single is taken from the ‘Blue Moon Rising’ EP, which is released 6th March 2020. The EP features new songs including recent single ‘Wandering Star’, as well as remixes of the title track and is available digitally and on limited edition vinyl formats.

The full EP track-listing is:

1. Blue Moon Rising
2. Wandering Star
3. Come On Outside
4. Blue Moon Rising (The Reflex Revision)
5. Blue Moon Rising (7” Mix)
