Microdot was founded by Brian Cannon in 1990 after completing a BA (Hons) degree in graphic design.

Brian was inspired by punk rock and in particular bands such as The Buzzcocks and Sex Pistols in the late 70’s and set out at the age of 12 to design iconic record sleeves for the biggest bands in the world – a feat he remarkably achieved by his late 20’s.

The accreditation ‘Designed by Microdot’ appears on over 70 million units of product worldwide.

The Microdot 25th anniversary exhibition will include artwork for everything both bands The Verve and Oasis released in the 1990’s alongside music packaging and promotional material for The Super Furry Animals, Cast, Suede, The Ruthless Rap Assassins and many more.

Also on show will be original hand written lyrics by Noel Gallagher and Richard Ashcroft, Oasis signed gold discs, original sleeve props, unseen printers proofs and never before published photographs.

Brian’s on going project ‘Northern Soul – A Photographic Journey’ which documents the contemporary Northern Soul scene in stunning black and white will also be represented.

Selected pieces from the exhibition will be available to purchase along with Microdot branded memorabilia from the exhibition sales stand.
