LIVE REVIEW: Iron Maiden at Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham

Heavy metal legends Iron Maiden performed in Nottingham on the 3rd of July. Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Bruce Dickinson, Nicko McBrain, and Janick Gers gave a phenomenal high-energy, exciting performance. Every song was welcomed with a scream from fans eager to see their favourite band.

Before the heavy metal giants came on stage, Lord of the Lost – a German rock band that participated in this year’s Eurovision – warmed up the arena. Their passionate performance was a perfect appetiser for what was yet to come. Chris “Lord” Harms interacted with the audience and ensured everyone paid attention to them.

Iron Maiden took the stage soon after the German rockers. Fans in the front row started waving numerous flags with the band’s logos. Several international fans, waving their country’s flag, follow the band during their tour. The passion from both the band and their fans was magical.

The interaction, the energy and the atmosphere were immaculate. Each song’s signature stage design kept changing, keeping the excitement high. Eddie, a lifelong band’s mascot, appeared on stage a few times, having a theatrical battle with Bruce. The band has been around since the 70s, and it’s unbelievable how popular they still are.
