LAUREN CARTER releases her latest track, ‘Chase the High'

Lauren Carter is an independent recording artist, based in LA. Her latest track, ‘Chase the High,’ features a departure from her past romantic style, with a more beat-driven focus.

The song is about living in isolation behind our screens, swiping on dating apps, posting for likes on Instagram, and the frustration and loneliness that ensues, with a hint at themes of escape by numbing oneself with substances. ‘Chase the High’ was nominated for best lyrics at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

In April 2017 Lauren released her debut EP, ‘American Dream,’ with Swiss label Turn Up the Pop! Records. The Thomas Godel remix of the title track peaked at #6 in the Swiss Dance Charts, along with receiving commercial radio play in Germany and Switzerland.

Lauren is also known as a popular model with such publications as Maxim, GQ, Esquire, and more. GQ Mexico writes, “Lauren Carter is proof that talent and beauty can co-exist.” Viva Glam Magazine states, “if you love Lana del Rey, you’ll love Lauren Carter.” Maxim Magazine called Lauren a “triple sex triple threat.”

Lauren has a resonant three-octave range that can deliver haunting ethereal notes to a full-on belt. The range comes from her classical training and her Master’s Degree in Opera. She currently performs with The LA Opera Babes, an Acappella Opera duo that was founded during the pandemic, and in the past her composition ‘Around the Globe’ was featured in a Volkswagen commercial. She’s also provided voice-over, landing spots for brands such as Skittles.
