KNIGHTFALL (a Strange Talk project) Releases Daft Punk Inspired Single - Listen

Knightfall is the passion project of Gerard Sidhu & Stephen Docker from Strange Talk. After working on nothing but Strange Talk for the last 7 years, the duo decided to take a break from the indie/pop world to pursue their other love… French Electro/House. Having both grown up listening to artists such as Daft Punk, Justice, Sebastian and Kavinsky, they decided to produce the music they connected with.

“We just wanted to write the music we love, the way we wanted to write it and we really didn’t care what anyone else thought,” said the duo.

They finally had the freedom to do exactly that once they left their previous label deal. Now, Knightfall is set to self-release their upcoming EP, VOLUME 1, with total creative control and ownership. Much of the new music that Gerard and Stephen began to write was initially intended for Strange Talk. However, as the new material was being produced, it became obvious that they had inadvertently created a new project.

After dropping two singles earlier this year, “Speed Machine” and “Exodus,” Knightfall returns with “Watching Me.” It explores the darker edges of house and French-electro.

“Watching Me” was co-written with their good friend Dennis Dowlut (Deutsch Duke, Electric Empire). The single and EP was mixed by Gerard and mastered by the legendary Mike Marsh (The Chemical Brothers, Calvin Harris, Cassius). The EP, VOLUME 1, releases September 29th.
