King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are “one of the most talked-about bands in rock” (Wall Street Journal) and for good measure. In 2022 alone, they released six acclaimed albums and a full-length concert film, played sold-out shows all across the world, including three sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre performances, and hosted bootlegger record fairs. And still, their fans are insatiable.

Today, they present a new video for “Astroturf,” a track off of 2022’s Changes. The album was originally conceived in 2017, and is a concept album that is ” built around this one chord progression – every track is like a variation on a theme,” says Stu Mackenzie. “Astroturf” is one of those creations, a 70s-tinged soft-pop earworm. The accompanying video was filmed in the band’s Australian studio. The band adds: “We filmed this live then overdubbed the fuck over it. Recording is fun.”

This March, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will take their raucous and deeply exploratory live shows across Europe before heading stateside to play venues such as Red Rocks (3 shows again!), and a marathon 3-hour show at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA.

Additionally, the band have had to move their 2 sold-out shows at Brixton Academy in March due to the venues on-going issues – the shows will now take places at Alexandra Palace and The Troxy.

All single ticket holders from either Brixton show will get moved to Alexandra Palace and any ticket holders who bought tickets for both Brixton shows will get a ticket for Alexandra Palace and The Troxy.

The remaining tickets for the Alexandra Palace show are on sale now and additional Troxy tickets go on sale on Friday 27th January at 10 am.
