Almost two decades in the game and armed with an extensive back-catalogue of stadium belters, and record-breaking success, Kaiser Chiefs triumphantly return with their brand new single ‘How 2 Dance’, the first taste from their forthcoming new album. You can hear it live from November 5th when they kick start their UK Arena tour at London’s 02.

“We really wanted to make a song that put together all the things we were trying to get right over the last three records,” Ricky Wilson says of this intoxicating new track. “For the first time in a long time we have teamed up with the two guys who originally signed us to B Unique. They’ve watched us grow, seen our ups and downs, and in many ways understand us better than we do.”

Recently the band have reeled off a host of note-worthy live performances, including the Invictus Games opening ceremony, headlining Virgin Radio’s: One Big Thank You show for key workers and a televised performance for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations on ITV.

Where 2019’s Duck straddled the tide between Northern-Soul euphoria and early ‘00s antithesis, 2022 sees Kaiser Chiefs stepping into a renewed spotlight; a hook-heightened universe in which Ricky Wilson, Andrew “Whitey” White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Keyboardist Peanut and Vijay Mistry on drums, come together to once again create what they craft best; breakthrough belters for the world’s dancefloor.

‘How 2 Dance’ is a euphoric masterclass leaning into the Kaiser Chiefs’ collaborative spirit and sees the band calling in Rudimental’s Amir Amor.

With the same platinum standard intuition that fans have repeatedly fallen in love with over the years, ‘How 2 Dance’ is a timeless slice of alt-pop perfection which calls upon all the experiences the band have had thus far.

“I hope to hear it at weddings, on the radio, and in the last remaining indie discos across the land,” Ricky concludes. “It’s about letting go, not worrying about what other people think you should be doing. It may not be the smoothest of journeys, but sometimes you need a bit of turbulence to remind you that you are flying.”

Produced by Amir Amor, “How 2 Dance” is classic Kaiser Chiefs; no one does rock ‘n pop with as much swagger. Listen BELOW:
