KAISER CHIEFS announce new single, new album + special one-off London show

Kaiser Chiefs are back to welcome the summer with their new single ‘Parachute’ released June 14 on Fiction/Caroline International. Ricky Wilson: “When we wrote the first record we were very direct, little needed explaining. The songs seemed to speak for themselves and did all the hard work for us. Parachute is pretty self-explanatory and a bit of a return to that. Parachute is probably the first love song we’ve written since Ruby”.

‘Parachute’ was produced by Brian Higgins (Xenomania, Girls Aloud, Pet Shop Boys, New Order), mixed by Serban Ghenea (The Weeknd, Rihanna, Beck, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake) and is the first track taken from the band’s forthcoming sixth album ‘Stay Together’.

“When we finished writing the last record we realised that the most important thing to everyone is what’s going on in their lives – their “personal politics” – and that’s what this album is about. If Education, Education, Education & War was our protest album, then Stay Together is our relationship album. Brian brought a very different approach to song writing and recording, it was a steep learning curve, but together we tried out new ideas and sounds and ended up with a new and fresh sounding Kaiser Chiefs album. Like no Kaiser Chiefs record you have heard before.”

‘Stay Together’ is the follow up to Kaiser Chiefs’ 2014 UK No.1 album, ‘Education, Education, Education… and War’, and the new album will feature collaborations with MNEK and Wayne Hector.

The band are fresh from a sold-out tour of South America where they have been road testing new material from the forthcoming album.

Kaiser Chiefs will be playing a very special one-off show at the world famous London Palladium on July 11. Fans who sign up to the Kaiser Chiefs mailing list before midnight on Tuesday 14 June can get access to a special pre-sale before tickets go on general release on Thursday 16 June.

Next week the band commence a run of sold-out big outdoor UK & European shows which will also take in appearances at V Festival, T In The Park, Ibiza Rocks, Rock Werchter, Boardmasters and Lollapalooza in Berlin.
