JUNODREAM share video for new single ‘Let Me Breathe Again’

Over the course of just two singles, this year – ‘Travel Guide’ and ‘Eden Burns’ – Junodream have set a course for a bright future. They were named as Jack Saunders’ Next Wave at Radio 1, where they soon picked up further support from Gemma Bradley. Meanwhile, John Kennedy added them to Radio X’s X-posure playlist.

Add fresh attention from Xs Noize, DIY, Dork and The Line of Best Fit, plus numerous adds at Spotify playlists including The Lovely Little Playlist, Garden Indie, Hot New Bands and it’s clear that Junodream’s mix of the accessible and the cerebral has huge potential.

Now the band drop their latest single ‘Let Me Breathe Again’, along with its official video – Watch BELOW:

Every Junodream single unveils a new slant on the band’s sound and ‘Let Me Breathe Again’ is no exception. Initially, it feels like a natural hybrid between the current UK post-punk scene and the band’s alt-rock roots, but the song continually escalates its nervous energy. It finally peaks with a sprawling, discordant solo which tops an uncategorizable mix of punk fire, psychedelic oddity and prog-tinged musicianship.

Junodream commented, “‘Let Me Breathe Again’ is about commercial claustrophobia. It feels like everything is a product that someone is trying to sell to you, and the price of engaging with the online world is a slew of clickbait and targeted advertising. This is a frustrated burst of rebellion, a demand for some space to breathe again.”

That oppressive anxiety feeds into the song’s accompanying video, which was directed by sudders and Toby Clarke. It opens with a shot of Junodream performing in a confined space, the fisheye lens providing a surreal visual twist. But when the curtains drop, the band find themselves surrounded by masked men clad entirely in black. Frontman Ed Vyvyan makes a break for it, his assailants chasing him out onto the streets. Eventually, he has no choice but to return to the rehearsal room, where a final fight erupts.

Having previously sold out two London dates, played the Radio X Winter Showcase curated by John Kennedy, and supported The Magic Gang, Junodream will return to live shows from May. They commence an extensive UK headline tour in November that includes a London show at Omeara on 7th December.
