JOE BOYD TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM IN FEBRUARY

Essex based Joe Boyd is set to release a new album on Agony & Ecstasy Records on the 2nd of February 2015.
‘I Survive I’, the follow up to last years ‘Gutter Moon’ long player, was self produced and recorded live in one day at The Soundhouse in Colchester and was mastered by Ed Woods who worked on The Who’s recent ‘Be Lucky’ single.

Released on limited edition Vinyl, CD and available to download, the new album features ten brand new tracks and includes the forthcoming single ‘The Dead Of The Night’ which is set for release in December 2014.

Joe Boyd (Guitar & Vocals) and his band line up of Matt Curd (Bass) and Cameron Morrell (Drums) formed just over two years ago when he formed Agony & Ecstasy Records and released his debut album ‘Totem’ in July 2012. Since then Boyd and his band have been crafting infectious punk pop and picking up airplay at the likes of BBC Essex, Amazing Radio, Saint FM and on John Kennedy’s XFM show.

Taking their inspiration from artists as diverse as Black Flag, Chet Baker and The Beach Boys, Joe Boyd’s live show’s are truly exciting and energetic affairs and has seen them play alongside Pendulum, Groove Armada and Mark Ronson. The trio follow recent appearances at Floridita, The Hippodrome Casino and a sold-out show at Ronnie Scotts with a handful of UK dates in November and December. More shows will be announced to coincide with the release of the album.
