Free All Angels was the third hit album from Ash and the second with guitarist Charlotte Hatherley. The album reached #1 in the Official UK Albums Chart and has since achieved platinum status. It birthed the Ivor Novello award-winning single Shining Light, the NME Single Of The Year Burn Baby Burn, and further singles Sometimes, There’s A Star, Candy and Walking Barefoot.
In this interview, Tim Wheeler talks about writing and recording the album, their 30th-anniversary celebration at Belfast’s Ulster Hall this December, new music and lots more.
