Indie Pop outfit SAYTR PLAY unveil energetic new single ‘Fragile’ - Listen Now

Manchester Indie Pop outfit Saytr Play has been making waves across the UK for some time. They return next month (August 17th) with an energetic new single ‘Fragile’, produced by Courteeners bassist Joe Cross, and released on his own ‘Lovers Music’ label.

‘Fragile’ is a story of inner conflict, mental health and the strain that can put on a relationship. The main refrain ‘shout it out!’ is intended to be joyous in its instruction to release everything painful inside. The lyrics also touch on the modern pressures of social media: ‘Argus-eyed always watching me, no proof and it’s haunting’ compares Instagram to the Greek mythological creature Argus, an unseen voyeur scrutinising our every action.

Led by wild and captivating front-man Fred Farrell, Saytr Play are known for delivering an astonishing live show. Over the past few years the band have performed several headline shows at some of Manchester’s most iconic music venues as well as appearing Brighton’s The Great Escape Festival. This weekend they played Tramlines in Sheffield and this coming weekend they appear at Kendal Calling.

Saytr Play have been compared to bands like Cage The Elephant, Iggy & The Stooges, Two Door Cinema Club, Vampire Weekend and Blur. Their unique and catchy sound can be heard on their first two singles ‘Mother’s Love’ and ‘Don’t Go East’, both of which were received exceptionally well.

‘Fragile’ is released on August 17th. Listen to it – BELOW:
