Rina Sawayama is one of the most exciting artists on the current pop stage. The Japanese-British singer visited Nottingham for the first time on the 18th of October.
The show had the best elements of the pop genre: choreography, great vocals, outfit changes, and special lighting effects. Some of Rina’s songs are genuinely genre-bending. The perfect example is “STFU!”. It started with Korn’s “Blind” intro and continued with powerful guitar, drums and lyrics.
The concert was split into 4 acts, and Rina had a different outfit for every act. Every gig is a big party with no genre rules, and no matter what kind of music you prefer, you will love her live performance and find elements that resonate with you. Alina Salihbekova took photos of Rina performing at the Rock City in Nottingham.
