Happy Mondays have confirmed an 18-date tour for November and December to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of the band’s classic album ‘Pills ‘N’ Thrills And Bellyaches’. The band will perform the 1990 album in full at the gigs, with an array of other hits also set to feature. ‘Pills ‘N’ Thrills And Bellyaches’ features some of the band’s biggest hits, including ‘Kinky Afro’ and ‘Step On’.
The tour will begin on November 5 at O2 Guildhall, Southampton and will end on Wednesday, December 10 at Dublin’s Vicar St. Happy Mondays will also visit Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and London on the road. A home town gig in Manchester is set for the Academy venue on November 20.
Speaking about the upcoming dates, Happy Mondays’ frontman Shaun Ryder said, “Great to be doing 25 years of ‘Pills ‘N’ Thrills…’. Here’s to another 25 years. I’m going to remember it this time.”
