Guns N’ Roses launched the “Not in This Lifetime Selects” live video series on YouTube

Guns N’ Roses may have had to postpone their North America part of the “Not In This Lifetime” tour, due to the worldwide ongoing pandemic, but fans can still enjoy parts of the concert. The band has just launched a streaming series called “Not in This Lifetime Selects”, on YouTube. The tour was scheduled for Europe in May and June, then to move to the United States and Toronto in July and August.

The YouTube series already started airing on YouTube, on May 21st. It features professional footage from the tour’s shows through the past years – actual highlights of the live performances.

The series will be updated and new content will be added every Thursday, at 7 PM EST. The first episode featured 13 minutes with parts of the show at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, USA, on October 29th, 2019.

The truth is, this are not easy times for concert lovers, and the bands have to find other ways to keep the millions of fans entertained without the live concerts. Guns N’ Roses aren’t actually the only ones who did this, and they all have the same thing in mind – the fans.

If you really miss the Guns N’ Roses, you should know that there is also a slot with the same name at Unibet. The slot was made by NetEnt and has an RTP of about 97%. It is the best rock music slot which can be played online and became so popular among gamblers that was named the “Game of the Year” in 2016. The players can bet and spin as they enjoy a playlist with some of the most famous songs of the band – “November Rain”, “Paradise City”, “Sweet Child O’Mine”, “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Chinese Democracy”.

“Chinese Democracy”, from 2008, is also the name of the most expensive rock album ever produced. The costs were around $13 million, and it took over 10 years to get it ready.

About the “Not In This Lifetime” tour and the band

The “Not In This Lifetime” tour began in April 2016 and was supposed to end this year. The show had an extraordinary success, grossing $584 million, which made it the third highest-grossing tour in history. This way, the fans could hear once again live the band’s hit.

“Don’t Cry”, “Sweet Child O’Mine”, “Paradise City” and “November Rain” are some the band’s most famous songs. As a matter of fact, “November Rain” wrote history in music, being the first ‘90s video to reach one billion views on YouTube.

But the true success of the tour was seeing Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan on the same stage for the first time since 1993. That means after over a quarter of a century and the biggest part of the band’s 35-year lifespan. The trio was part of the original members of the band. They were included on the list of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 2012.

Just to have an idea – if there still are rock music fans who don’t know how big Guns N’ Roses were -, the band sold over 100 million records worldwide. Almost half of the entire records sold were in the United States. Also, the “Not In This Lifetime” tour had over 150 shows and over 5 million people attending, making it the sixth in the history by size. In fact, it had such a good beginning that it received the Top Tour award at the Billboard Live Music Awards in 2017.
