Belfast’s Girls Names share news of Revisionism: a remix EP containing the choicest reworkings of tracks from their acclaimed third album, Arms Around a Vision, and its preceding Zero Triptych single. The news comes accompanied by a dreamy, hypnotic reimagination of the aforementioned ‘Zero Triptych’ courtesy of Total Control’s Mikey Young, which you can hear below.

Joining Young are a stellar cast of peers, admirers and collaborators that include Broken English Club, Shift Work and Tom Furse of the Horrors. The set marks a wonderful opportunity to reflect on what’s been a whirlwind past 18 months for Girls Names, one that’s seen them tour multiple continents, taking a distinctly European set of songs to shores new while equally cementing what makes them one of Britain’s most beloved alternative bands, rich in Eno-era Roxy sleaze, Birthday Party dissonance and M.E.S’ three R’s: repetition, repetition, repetition.

It doesn’t end there, though. For those who’ve yet to see Girls Names touring in support of Arms Around a Vision, the band can be found across Eastern and Northern Europe this autumn, as well as making an appearance at Ireland’s Electric Picnic festival. Full details of all upcoming dates can be found below.
