GENGAHR – ANNOUNCE UK OCT TOUR

GENGAHR - ANNOUNCE UK OCT TOUR

Following the announcement of their debut album A Dream Outside – slated for a June 15th Release through Transgressive Records – North London’s Gengahr are set to head out on the road this October for their first full headline tour, including the band’s biggest hometown show to date at London’s Scala.

With Gengahr set to join indie stalwarts The Maccabees on their run of intimate dates in the coming weeks, the band’s Autumn tour comes after the release of their debut album in June and will follow what is sure to be a momentous summer for the four-piece.

Recorded and co-produced with James Bragg at Middle Farm Studios – the band are set to follow ‘She’s a Witch’ with new single ‘Heroine’; saccharine pop hooks that knit together the band’s woozier tendencies, marking the track out as one of the tauter moments on A Dream Outside. Led by its bounding bassline, it’s earworms galore from the off, and as it descends into the murkier depths of guitarist John Victor’s solo thrashing, things take a turn for the gigantic.

With the band cutting their teeth on the road supporting the likes of Jungle, Alt-J and Wolf Alice, as well as sharing their smoky, spellbinding music to audiences at Glastonbury, Latitude and MIDI over the past year, 2015 will mark the release of their anticipated debut album.

Pre-sale tickets for their October tour will available here from 9am Wednesday 6th May, with general sale starting on Friday the 8th.

A Dream Outside will be released on June 15th on Transgressive Records, Limited album and ticket bundles will be available from seetickets.com and the band own online store.
