Brighton’s Fear of Men return with ‘Trauma’, the second track to be drawn from their highly anticipated second album, Fall Forever – available from June 3rd on Kanine Records.
Speaking to Noisey about the track, the band’s Jessica Weiss describes the sense of trauma tackled here as: “the undefinable anxiety and damage that all of us suffer at some point at the hands of another. It’s how we deal with it that defines us…To me, dealing with trauma is not about looking back, it’s about taking that experience and putting it under your own control, letting it become a part of you.” For her, the song is about “empowerment through taking control.”

‘Trauma’ follows on from the widely lauded ‘Island’ – and its accompanying video – which received praise from Pitchfork, NPR, The Guardian, DIY, Stereogum, Spin, Gorilla vs Bear, The Line of Best Fit, The 405 and The FADER amongst others.
The band are are also pleased to announce that they’ll be supporting Virginia’s Wild Nothing on a short UK run this June. Full details of those shows, and the band’s other UK dates, can be found below.
