Exclusive Announcement from self-releasing pop/punk dynamo - DIDI

XS Noize is delighted to make an exclusive announcement for an exciting new artist we’ve featured over the last few months. DIDI is a self-releasing pop/punk dynamo who burst onto the scene less than a year ago, and we loved two of her singles, Awkward and Back Off, so much that we made them Track of the Day. Her latest single Fast and Furious has already secured three plays on BBC 6 Music from Chris Hawkins and two in one weekend from hugely respected new music guru Tom Robinson. This brings her 6 Music tally to an impressive seven spins!

It’s no surprise that an exciting new initiative from the Royal Albert Hall has invited DIDI to perform with her band at their event on Saturday 7th April, in the Elgar Room! For the first time, the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room is being taken over by a group of young producers aged 18-25, making their mark with COLLIDE, an immersive two day festival of music, art and fashion.

Listen to DIDI “Fast and Furious’ – BELOW:

The Young Producers invite their audience to experience a celebration of diversity, expression and creativity over two contrasting nights, the first featuring a cutting-edge fashion show, and the second bringing the world of street art into the Hall. The Young Producers scheme is part of the Hall’s extensive Education & Outreach programme: changing lives through music.

DIDI will be joined by her band, Penny Churchill on bass, Emily Aldrich on lead guitar and Rhiannon Mair on drums, who is also the producer of DIDI’s last two singles, Back Off and Fast and Furious, and who is working with DIDI on her EP due for an autumn release

Tickets for the event can be found here. https://www.royalalberthall.com/tickets/events/2018/collide/
