Editors today announce ‘Darkness At The Door’ as the next single to be taken from their critically acclaimed Top 10 album ‘Violence’.

Filmed at the band’s sold out headline show at Amsterdam’s 17,000 capacity Ziggo Dome, the video merges electrifying live footage with more intimate, close up shots of singer Tom Smith. It was directed by long-term visual collaborator Rahi Rezvani. ‘Darkness At The Door’ sees Editors continue to push the sound and expectations of the band with a confident, emotionally charged anthem. With its bright, swelling chords, and driving drums, the track breaks new territory for Editors, with Smith delivering some of the most accomplished vocals and lyrics of his career to date.

‘Violence’ is the sixth album from Editors, and follows 2015’s acclaimed top 5 ‘In Dream’. It is produced by Leo Abrahams (Wild Beasts, Florence & The Machine, Frightened Rabbit) and Editors with additional production from Benjamin John Power (Blanck Mass, Fuck Buttons) and mixed by Cenzo Townshend, except ‘Hallelujah (So Low)’ mixed by Alan Moulder.

Editors Autumn tour dates – on sale now and featuring a headline show at Brixton Academy – will follow a busy summer of live shows, which sees them support The Cure at their huge BST Hyde Park show on 7th July, play Manchester’s Neighbourhood Festival on 27th May and headline the Werchter Classic on 14th July.
