ECHOBELLY announce stripped back acoustic tour

Echobelly will be returning to the live circuit this December for a string of stripped back, semi-acoustic shows, performing as a four-piece with Sonya on vocals, Glenn on guitar, James Harris (original Echobelly bass player) on bass and Richard Coulson on piano.

Classic hits and some of the newer material will be re-vitalised and re-worked to create a magical musical journey, just in time for Christmas!  If you love Britpop and want to hear great songwriting in a more intimate manner, don’t miss these unique shows.

The band released their first EP Bellyache in 1993 and the gushing press reviews and sold-out gigs secured then a deal with Epic Records (via their subsidiary Rhythm King).  The single ‘Insomniac’ and their debut album Everyone’s Got One came out the following year which entered the UK Album charts at No. 8. 1995 saw the follow up On achieve Top 5 chart success and ‘Great Things’ (their first Top Of The Pops appearance) and two other singles entered the Top 30.

Health and legal problems interrupted the success of Echobelly but three more albums followed before they stopped for a break.  Sonya and Glenn continued to write together and they returned in 2015 with a sold out show at the Scala in London and a sixth album Anarchy and Alchemy in 2017.   Since then the band have been successfully touring and these very special shows will be a treat for old and new fans alike.
