CONCHÚR WHITE kicks off 2020 with the release of his ‘Bikini Crops EP’

Conchúr White has kicked off 2020 with the release of his debut EP, ‘Bikini Crops EP’. Featuring 4 tracks Bikini Crops, Channing Tatum, Daisies & Nightdrives, the EP has been mixed by Matt Wiggins (London Grammar, Glass Animals, Horrors) and is available everywhere from today via Panoplea/Believe.

The video for lead track Bikini Crops has been beautifully animated by Brighton based director Tom Denney. Check it out – BELOW:

Hailing from Co Armagh, Conchúr previously fronted the band Silences who achieved notable success in Ireland. Upon parting ways last year, Conchúr felt an outpouring of creativity and ended up writing and recording ten solo demo tracks in his bedroom over the course of just one month. The 4 tracks which now form the Bikini Crops EP all came to life during this period. Indicative of his raconteur nature, Conchúr (pronounced Conor)’s lyrical influences include the likes of Father John Misty, Lana Del Rey, Alex Turner, and Charles Bukowski. There’s dream-like surrealism in White’s musical storytelling which he delivers with understated theatrical manner.

Conchúr first shared the tracks Daisies and Channing Tatum at the close of 2019. coinciding with a run of tour dates supporting Villagers. Today’s EP release pre-empts a run of shows and festival appearances including Eastbound, The Great Escape, Body & Soul Festival, Deershed and Neverworld + support slots with John Grant.
