COLOUR Announce First London Show of 2018

COLOUR announce their first show of 2018. They play SPOTLIGHT at London’s Camden Assembly on Tues 16th January alongside Sick Joy and 485c. The gig coincides with the release of brand new single ‘Black’. The 3rd track to be taken from their ‘The Famous Boy Making Things’ EP, which is available now.

It’s been quite a year for COLOUR. Last month they released their new single ‘Minus’ (as featured on Record Of The Day). The track, mastered at London’s famous Abbey Road studios by Christian Wright (Coldplay, Radiohead), was described as a dark anvil of a song. ‘Black’ continues in this tradition with hints of Royal Blood at their heaviest while keeping its feet firmly in the bands newly coined ‘micro-prog’ category.

COLOUR burst on the scene in 2016, championed by BBC Introducing, Clash and Shortlist amongst others. The EP was co-produced by COLOUR and Dan Swift (Kasabian, Snow Patrol) and was recorded at the band’s own COLOUR Studios on the northwest coast of England. Says Dan of the band: “Average bands sound like their heroes, good bands sound like other good bands and great bands sound like themselves. COLOUR are a great band”.

Having wowed crowds in London with gigs at ‘Gold Dust’ in Hoxton and Birthdays in Dalston, as well as storming sets at the Great Escape Festival and Kendal Calling, COLOUR are excited to return to the capital in January. Before the year is out though, they will play a charity show for Popped Music on December 8th in Liverpool.

Catch COLOUR live:

Friday 8th December – Popped Music Presents @ The Magnet, Liverpool
Tuesday 16th January – SPOTLIGHT @ Camden Assembly, London

COLOUR are: James Tidd, Scott Harvey, Liam Downey and Connor Dickson.
