CIARAN LAVERY shares atmospheric new single 'October' (Feat. Liza Anne)

Northern Ireland Music Prize-winning musician Ciaran Lavery has shared a new single October’; an atmospheric track with subtle electronic instrumentation that features American indie-rock artist Liza Anne. The track follows the release of Ciaran’s recent comeback single ‘Can I Begin Again’.

Ciaran says of the track: “I am deeply proud of this song, not only does my niece Lily feature at the top of the track but it also features vocals by Liza Anne & ends with some beautiful lines written by Dermot McConaughy, read by Rosie Carney. It seemed fitting, while I was dealing with personal and professional transformation and desperately trying to find a new path, to write a track about the stage before hope, anger or any tangible emotion outside of complete bewilderment & strangeness. The content of this track is fragile & confused & about for a seeking a way to go from here.”

‘October’ is the second track released from Lavery’s upcoming 4th album. Throughout the recording process, Ciaran listened obsessively to Thom Yorke’s ‘The Eraser’, Mitski’s ‘Be The Cowboy’ and Beastie Boys ‘Ill Communication’ which served as the stylistic backdrop to everything: “It’s the Joy Division trick of making people dance while you punch them in the gut with the true message – which I love.”
