CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN return to London for Clapham Common Show

Having brought the curtain down on 2019 in the USA and igniting 2020 with a rush of European live dates, Catfish and the Bottlemen pause to announce an unmissable, springtime one-off show in a special marquee on Clapham Common, London on Fri 15 May 2020, with tickets on sale at 9 am, Friday 24 January.

Bringing support bands Sports Team and Yonaka into the fold for a bracing night of energetic, home-grown guitar music, fans will be able to see the bands play inside a vast, 10,000 capacity marquee erected in the historic south London park. Overwhelmed by the response to their 2019 headline slot at the capital’s Citadel Festival, the band’s London return follows news that they will also play Swansea’s Singleton Park and headline the Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington in May, signalling another year of ambitious touring plans for the four-piece.

Confirmed Catfish and the Bottlemen shows for 2020 to date are as follows:

Fri 15 May 2020 London, Clapham Common
Sat 23 May 2020 Swansea, Singleton Park
Sun 24 May 2020 Warrington, Neighbourhood Weekender

The decade-long ascent of Catfish and the Bottlemen from hard-gigging hopefuls in search of a break, to arena-filling, platinum-selling rock and roll band is celebrated in BBC Introducing’s The Rise, which remains available to watch on iPlayer. In a rare, full-band interview, the programme gathers Van McCann (vocals, guitars), Johnny ‘Bondy’ Bond (guitars), Robert ‘Bob’ Hall (drums) and Benji Blakeway (bass) together to chart their history, from dragging their own gear through festival mud to 2019’s Maida Vale session in support of the hit album, The Balance.
