The unbridled, youthful joy of a Catfish and the Bottlemen live show will drift on the summer breeze over two UK port cities in summer 2018 as the incendiary four-piece announce a brace of open-air concerts. Vast celebrations beneath sun and stars at This Is Tomorrow, taking over Spillers Wharf, Newcastle upon Tyne on Friday 25 May 2018 and a second show at Cardiff Castle on Sunday 29 July 2018 are set to meet the clamour for tickets that led to sell out shows earlier this year at Finsbury Park, London and Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield.

Contributing a sense of unapologetic ambition to British guitar music and preparing fans for a raft of new material to follow their 2016, gold-status album, The Ride, the band is led out of the studio and onto yet bigger stages by venerated frontman and songwriter, Van McCann, with Johnny Bond (lead guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass) and Bob Hall (drums).

Admitting to being happily of ‘no fixed abode’ due to near-constant touring and recording since 2014, when now platinum-certified debut album The Balcony surfaced, Catfish and The Bottlemen’s eagerly anticipated UK live announcement comes following an uncharacteristic nine-month hiatus since their last shows. The last 18 months has seen the band claim their place as a bona fide arena band at home, adding dates at Wembley Arena to their impressive list of conquered stages, and also fully establish themselves as live favourites in South & North America, Japan and Australia.

From within any audience from Manchester to Melbourne, critics and peers have been engulfed by the swell of eager sentiment propelled by a vociferous fan base. Renowned for posing every day, easily identifiable observations through his lyrics, the band possess a magnetic and dynamic focal point for public attention in McCann. Actions shout louder than words and, in aiming to eclipse any guitar band predecessors in stage persona and delivery, Catfish and the Bottlemen’s early plans for 2018 should speak volumes.

Tickets go onsale at 10am Friday 15 December 2017 with all links available at www.catfishandthebottlemen.com
