Cabbage have today aired the new video for ‘Celebration Of A Disease’, lifted from the forthcoming EP ‘The Extended Play Of Cruelty’, to be released on August 25th on CD, Cassette and 10 inch vinyl, and available to stream now.

The Manchester band recently premiered EP track ‘A Network Betrayal’, described as “a tongue firmly in cheek depiction of train travel in Northern England,” by Cabbage co-vocalist Joe Martin. “When my brother (who actually works for Network Rail) heard it he told me to ‘buy a fucking ticket’. The more kind hearted rail staff I bump into, the guiltier I feel about writing it, but studying the varying behavioural traits of different conductors has always been fascinating. All quotes are genuine, having been frantically scribbled down during journeys.”

‘The Extended Play Of Cruelty’ EP was produced by James Skelly and Richard Turvey at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios, and is Cabbage’s first release since signing to new label Infectious Music (Alt-J, Drenge, DMA’s).

Cabbage’s busy summer of festival appearances, which kicked off with two shows at Glastonbury (watch their performance on the John Peel Stage here) and a raucous set at Latitude Festival (where they headlined The Lake Stage), continues this weekend with sets at Kendal & Standon Calling.

Having sold out every headline date they have played this year, Cabbage have announced details of a headline tour for September & October 2017. They will be supported by Doncaster’s The Blinders, Liverpool’s Queen Zee and The Sasstones, and Proletariat, from Cabbage’s hometown of Mossley, Greater Manchester.

Cabbage: Lee Broadbent (lead vocals), Joe Martin (vocals, guitar), Eoghan Clifford (guitar), Stephen Evans (bass), and Asa Morley (drums).
