BRAND NEW FRIEND Unveil Video for New Single ‘Why Are You So Tired?’ + Live Dates

INTERVIEW: Taylor Johnson of BRAND NEW FRIEND - "We made an album by accident"

With 2018 proving to be their busiest year so far, Northern Irish quartet BRAND NEW FRIEND continue through the summer with the release of a new single ‘WHY ARE YOU SO TIRED?’ today 5th July. The band have also been confirmed to support At The Drive-In in Dublin later this month and have more festivals and shows coming up including a headline show in London on 29th August at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington. Their album ‘Seatbelts For Aeroplanes’ has also just been voted one of the best Irish albums of the year by Hot Press who described it as “A punk-pop riot that lives up to the advance hype, it’s got us excited for what we might hear from them in the future.”

Of the track, vocalist Taylor explains “‘Why Are You So Tired?’ is one of the most personal songs on the album. It was written for my then girlfriend, who was anaemic. She never wanted to worry me when she wasn’t well, so the only way to know for sure how she was feeling was to ask her to show me her eyes. This song was a gentle reminder for her to look after herself, that I’d do anything for her and that even if she was past caring, the people around her cared massively about her.”
