Boxed In confirm new single ‘Melt’ – Listen

Today Boxed In share the lyric video for their new single ‘Melt’, taken from their critically-acclaimed second album which is out now via Nettwerk Records.

Currently on tour with Crystal Fights, December will see the Oli Bayston fronted band support Kate Tempest on some of her UK tour. All in preparation for their own headline tour of the UK in February 2017, which includes their biggest London show to date at Village Underground. See full tour dates below.

‘Melt’ includes comeback track ‘Jist’, which was added straight to 6 Music playlist, received regular spot plays across Radio 1, and was also playlisted by Amazing Radio. Latest single ‘Forget’ was A-Listed at 6Music, whilst ‘Melt’ was recently named 6Music’s Album of the Day and Rough Trade’s Album of the Week.

Warmly inviting yet coolly controlled, the 11 songs across Boxed In’s second album ‘Melt’ are experimental, infectious, yet richly detailed: co-produced with the Dan Carey, and with the accent on midtempo art ache. Putting a fresh spin on ‘70s krautrock, ’80s synthpop and ‘90s house and techno, there is a pulsating sense of positivity that runs throughout; capturing a young man at a transitional stage, preparing to enter the next, more mature phase of his life.
