Big Image combines the reverb-drenched piano of house, the propulsive breakbeats of drum & bass and the bubbling buoyancy of baggy to create a cocktail sound that is entirely theirs. Following the recent release of their infectious new single ‘Late Nights’, the band have announced brand-new headline tour dates for February 2023. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday with full details below.

‘Late Nights’ follows on from their ‘Human Touch Is Forever’ EP which was released in the Spring. A meteoric rise on the live scene ensued, as Big Image took their crowd-pleasing sets to a host of festival stages, including Community, Neighbourhood, Live at Leeds, Y Not, Lakefest – plus support slots with Circa Waves & DMAs. They also performed at The Hundred Cricket Live At Edgbaston to 25,000 fans, broadcast on BBC2.

“Late Nights is a song about going out, living in the moment and forgetting about the real world”, explains frontman George Johnson. “You find being in a band can have so many highs and lows, and sometimes you just can’t keep up with it all alongside real life, and we wanted to show that in the video”.

“We’ve been playing this song at all the festivals this summer, and the reaction to it has been amazing, so it felt right to release this one next”, adds bass player Luke Morris. “I think it’s probably the best we’ve sounded on record”.

With smart, world-weary lyricism and arms-around-shoulders sentiment, the on-the-rise Midlands four-piece makes euphoric and transformative pop for the masses, which has already been championed early by the likes of Dork Magazine, Clash & Radio X & BBC Introducing.

Following a stint in the studio with Grammy Award-winning Steve Dub (Chemical Bros, Clean Bandit, New Order,) ‘Late Nights’ is the first track out of the blocks from the new sessions, as the creatively ambitious quartet set themselves up for what’s set to be a big year ahead for this incredibly exciting band.

With more music to be released early next year and a multitude of live shows on the horizon, Big Image are primed to be one of the UK’s most exciting new live acts by the summer of 2023.
