Belfast-based rockers MASK return with new single 'Warning Shots'

Belfast-based rockers MASK are back with a bang. With news of an upcoming third studio album titled ‘Zenith’, they’re kicking off the campaign with an epic new single, ‘Warning Shots’.

Combining movie-scene-style cinematic sounds with infectious, to-the-bone lyrics, the band (led by songsmith ‘H’ and lifelong friend Craig Coppock) continue their consistent fine form once more. Over the last 5 years, they’ve amassed well over 2 million collective streams, turning the heads of many a media champion in the process.

On the new track, frontman ‘H’ (Humphrey) says: “This is my most personal song to date. It delves into the subjects of ego and suffering – that endless dance of pain and pleasure. ‘Warning Shots’ symbolise the vital life lessons that are formed through that suffering – a process that is necessary and that can actually become something beautiful.”

Like the journey of suffering, the song starts dark and heavy, but moves into the light, evoking hope and painting a picture of salvation. Thanks to the musical prowess of the band’s long-term producer Michael Mormecha and heavenly BVs from Kristen Rogers in Nashville (best known for her work with Hozier),
this new MASK sound lands itself on a serious new level.

MASK will be supporting Natalia Nikiel at Sobótki Tczewskie Music Festival in Tczew, Poland on June 25th 2022.
