‘Above The Clouds Of Pompeii’ by Bear’s Den has picked up a nomination at this year’s Ivor Novello Awards, as revealed this morning (21st April). The song, taken from the London-based band’s debut album, ‘Islands’ (Communion Records), was written by the band’s Andrew Davie. It is one of three shortlisted in the Best Song Musically And Lyrically category, with the winners set to be announced in the 60th Anniversary Ivor Novello Awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 21st May.

In Bear’s Den live news, the band are today announced as the newest addition to the bill for Reading & Leeds Festival this August. The band, who recently capped off an entirely sold out 17 date headline tour with a euphoric homecoming show at Shepherds Bush Empire, will play at a number of further festivals in the UK and internationally through the summer.
