Australia’s Indie-Dance Band TORA Present their ‘Top 10 of New Aussie Music’

TORA announce debut album 'Take A Rest', listen to new single 'Another Case'

Sitting at over 20 million streams, having played the likes of Glastonbury and Falls Festival, an Australian support slot with RUFUS under their belt and a series of forthcoming UK / European shows in October, Byron Bay electronic four-piece Tora release their debut album Take A Rest on 9th June, the outfit drop the second cut from the album – the lush, layered sounds of ‘Another Case,’ which they will perform live on their Australian album tour this June before heading to Europe and the UK.

The guys have kindly chosen their top ten new music tracks from Australia. Check them out below.

Andras – Hard Working Man

Melbourne local Andras’ latest release ‘house of dad’ boasts track ‘Hard Working Man’. Loungey, Sunday evening feels with a touch of what sounds like Boards of Canada/Aphex Twin influence. This track is perfect for most occasions.

Harvey Sutherland – Priestess

Chill house/disco from Melbourne. Clean, simple but super groovy stuff from Harvey Sutherland. Out on Clarity Recordings.

Dan Kye – Iigo

Jordan Rakei’s alias Dan Kye put out an EP earlier this year on Rhythm Section, the UK based House powerhouse. An EP we’re very fond of, has the musicality of Jordan Rakei’s main project fused with a groovy house/disco vibe.

Lastlings – Urges

Brother and sister duo Lastlings put out a new EP recently and this was the brilliantly catchy single.

Sampology – Thicker Than Water ft. Tiana Khasi

A super tasty release from Sampology featuring Tiana Khasi, on Soul Has No Tempo.

Winston Surfshirt – Be About You

Great debut tune from Sydney based 5-piece Winston Surfshirt, out on Sweat It Out.

Ruby Haunt – Freeway crush (nutrition remix)

A beautiful, nostalgic piece from nutrition. Remixed from Ruby Haunt’s track ‘Burning’.

Kllo – Bolide

A quintessential AUS release from the last year. This track from Kllo is really charismatic, a superb piece of brooding breakbeat electronic music.

Fin – Eurythmy

Cacophonies of swirling synths and witty sampling melted into warm compositions of bass heavy, ambient electronic music. <3

Crooked Colours – Flow

Great new track from the Perth boys Crooked Colours.
