ANDY BELL shares video for ‘I Was Alone’ - Watch Now

Andy Bell has shared a video for ‘I Was Alone’, a brand new song taken from the RIDE singer/guitarist’s debut solo album The View From Halfway Down.

Andy describes it as “a Spacemen 3-influenced song about dealing mentally with solitude”, and it’s certainly a world away from the sunny psych-pop of ‘Love Comes In Waves’, which was released last month.

Drowsy and downbeat, it feels its way through almost seven minutes of swelling keyboards and guitar effects. The video, which was made by Andy himself, is appropriately meditative and atmospheric.

‘I Was Alone’ is included on the free covermount CD on the new issue of Uncut magazine, which is in shops from tomorrow (September 17).

The View From Halfway Down is released on October 9.
