In 2014 at the age of 18 Jess began creating her debut album, working with the likes of Steve Crisanthou (Corinne Bailey-Rae, Eliza Dolittle) and Jonny Wright (Foxes, Becky Hill). She released her debut single “Little Bird” in October 2014 on ‘Better Than Cake Records’ gaining fantastic support from Clare Balding at BBC Radio 2. Clare invited Jess to perform a live session on her Sunday morning radio show in October 2014. Also Fantastic regional BBC support and especially from her home station BBC Radio Leeds (Johnny I’anson, Larry & Paul Show, Liz Green and Richard Stead).
Currently putting the finished touches to her debut album, the first taster from it comes in the shape of a stunning cover-version of The Beatles classic ‘From Me To You’. Recorded with a 22-piece orchestra at the famous Angel Recording Studios in London, you can listen to the track below:
