Today sees more accolades for Philly’s finest with The War On Drugs being nominated for INTERNATIONAL GROUP at this year’s BRIT AWARDS, alongside the likes of Foo Fighters and The Black Keys. The BRIT Award ceremony will take place on 25th February, where the winner of Best International Group will be announced.
THE WAR ON DRUGS capped off an incredible 2014 by dominating the end-of-year lists both here and in the US. The band successfully united the writers and editorial teams of XS Noize, Uncut, Q, The Times, BBC 6Music, SPIN, Amazon, Paste, Under The Radar and many more, all of which named Lost In The Dream their #1 album of 2014. Additionally, MOJO, Stereogum and Rough Trade placed the album at #2 on their best of 2014 lists, while Pitchfork and NME chose the record as their #3 album of the year.
Next month sees The War On Drugs embark an extensive UK tour, with many shows already sold-out. Dates/info below:
